The retiring CEO of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society, John Rothwell has been made an Honorary Life Member of RMC SA/NT. His long term commitment to agriculture, show societies and our organisation makes him a worthy recipient. And fittingly, he was surprised with the honour at the 2022 Royal Adelaide Show breakfast.

The 2022 Royal Show Brekky

It's always a highlight of the RMC year.

Even more so in 2022 as the Royal Adelaide Show DID go on after a two-year hiatus.

With Foot and Mouth and Lumpy Skin Diseases real threats to the Australian meat industries, we discussed one of the biggest issues of our time.

The panel of experts, Dr Chris Parker, Nathan Rhodes and Joe Keynes talked through the national, state and on-farm implications.

They were engaging and informative - one of our best Show Breakfast discussions ever!

Covid proved a right Royal Adelaide Show stopper this year... but our annual RMC Show brekky rolled on.

It's one of the highlight events on the RMC calendar and this year was no different. The sell-out crowd of agri-business, communications, media and political heavy hitters rolled up to hear from guest speaker Mick Keogh OAM, Deputy Chair and Agricultural Commissioner for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). Longest Serving RMC SA/NT President is Honoured in Queens Birthday Awards

Rural Media & Communicators SA/NT congratulates immediate past President Ian Doyle, who has been recognised in the Queen’s birthday Honours, for his services to Journalism and the community.

Ian has served Rural Media in South Australia with distinction for four decades. He started his media Journey as a young Rural Reporter for the ABC at Port Pirie in the early 1980’s, and went on to be a Reporter for Countrywide on ABC TV, then ultimately was the Executive Producer for ABC Rural in SA. In that time, he also produced multiple Radio documentaries, including: Blue Hills Revisited.Great Working Dog Stories.The Bloke From The Birdsville Track - the George Bell Story. ...
