RMSA Member to take up distinguished role in N.T. (Dec 2013)
Rural Media SA member, Professor Simon Maddocks is about to take up the prestigious role of Vice Chancellor of Charles Darwin University in the Northern Territory.
Currently Director of Science Partnerships at the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), Professor Maddocks is also a member of the University of Adelaide Governing Council and the Menzies School of Health Research.
Charles Darwin University currently has 30,000 enrolled students, around 10,000 more than the University of Adelaide. Professor Maddocks will be responsible for the delivery of the University's education and training to 170 sites across Northern Territory.
Professor Maddocks holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Hons) and a PhD from the University of Adelaide. A trained specialist in animal reproductive physiology and immunology, Professor Maddocks has also served as Principal of Roseworthy Residential College.
